John has held Senior Executive roles at large Global Solution Providers like Thales, Geisecke and Devrient Mobile Technologies and IBM and successfully generated over $750 Million in Revenue throughout his career. John has successfully raised over $50 Million in capital for early stage companies and has had successful exits at NexTone, which was sold to Genband, Netezza which was sold to IBM and cVidya, which was sold to Amdocs. John is a customer driven, competitive, players coach who is an expert in building world-class, high performing go-to-market teams that consistently overachieve their goals.

Laura Everngam-Price

Director of Strategic Partnerships

Laura Everngam-Price has joined the ezVOLTz team as Director of Strategic Partnerships. An accomplished elected official and entrepreneur, Laura brings strong analytical, communication and leadership skills to ezVOLTz. She was the 2022 President of the Executive Board of Directors of the Maryland Association of Counties and a member of MACo’s board and Talbot County’s legislative liaison for 8 years. For 20 years, Laura also owned and operated a small business. She managed daily business operations, financial planning, payroll administration, publication designs and the business marketing plan. Being a determined entrepreneur, Laura identified and enacted new efficiencies and additional services to better serve her customers, which led to increased profitability for the business.

Ken Nelson

Chief Financial Officer

Mr Ken is a result driven C-level executive, with a background of over 30 years in international finance and operations in both public and private companies. He brings a unique combination of senior-level financial and hands-on operational expertise and investment experience in Technology, Professional Service and Medical device companies. His strengths and experience are in areas such as Equity Raising from Venture Capital and P/E firms and co-ordinated Debt transactions, Capital structuring analysis, financial management and reporting, restructuring and workouts of complex company situations, business development – M&A transactions, and has extensive experience in EMEA, APAC and SA. He has completed 2 IPO’s and completed over $800million in Equity and Debt transactions. In addition, Nelson completed over 100 M&A transactions.
Ken has worked with several start-ups and early-stage companies acting as CFO – COO and raising them to the next level – whether that is raising funds, putting together operational systems, accounting or general advice regarding what’s next in the company’s growth.

Kelley Gillespie

Kelley has more than 25 years of experience creating and implementing marketing strategy and customer interactions for her clients. Her innovative campaigns focus on market insight to develop customer engagement and brand recognition through media, social, advertising, and collaborative partnerships. She has worked with a diverse collection of clients, including L’Oreal USA, Deloitte, USAA, BMC, and USAID. She launched an advertising and social media engagement campaign for the Smithsonian Craft Show, building a dedicated audience and brand recognition. She has managed political rallies on the National Mall, designed Inaugural wrap-around events, and launched branded products. Through market research, media outreach, creative content generation, and data analytics, she explores the whole customer journey to create alignment on strategy and execution plans for her clients. She has been honored with several industry awards and volunteer recognition for her non-profit work.

Jimmy Rhee

Jimmy has over 20 years of private sector entrepreneurial experience in enterprise creation, growth and change management with extensive record of directing turn-around situations ranging from manufacturing to software companies, in addition to identifying new strategic opportunities within the context of evolving macro factors (e.g., shifts in geopolitics, technology, credit policies, etc.) and connecting interdependent factors for economic strength. Jimmy earned degrees from Johns Hopkins University (MAS/MBA), the University of Maryland (BS), and attended Georgetown University Law Center for 2 years. He holds a professional certificate in sustainable energy from Stanford University Center for Development and is a certified performance improvement coach.

Sean Powell

Senior Advisor

Sean brings 16 years of solid private sector experience in community banking and 19+ years of government experience to the ezVOLTz Advisory Board.He has worked in the public sector at the highest levels of Government. Sean served as the principal Deputy Secretary for the Maryland Department of Transportation, where he was the executive in charge of Operations/COO. He oversaw the operational enterprise of 9,000 personnel across six business units. Additionally, he managed the Homeland Security, Emergency Management, Rail Safety, Procurement, Finance, Audit and Government Affairs offices at headquarters. In the Secretary’s absence, Sean served as Acting Chair for the Transportation Authority Board, Aviation Commission and Port Commission.

Paul also serves as Executive Director of the North American Transit Alliance.
